It take a community to grow an entrepreneur.
Which of your students will be one of the roughly 3 out of 1,000 Americans* who start a business each month? If they start now or in five years as their new business grows, those three need the support of the remaining 997 to succeed.

The first place winner also moves on to the State Finals at Kansas State University on April 28, 2020.
An invitation to Student Champions for Your Students to Participate
Student Champions are teachers, counselors or administrators Shawnee County schools, home school instructors, or organizations that assist students in preparing for a YEC Series competition.
Students will be judged on their business idea, executive summary, 4-minute pitch, optional tradeshow booth and answers to judges' questions. No PowerPoint presentations will be allowed. Students in grades 7 - 12 from Shawnee County are eligible to compete.
Competition begins at 9:00 am with a complimentary lunch sponsored by Glaciers Edge Winery
A detailed schedule will be sent to participants after the registration deadline.
The YEC Series is a NetWork Kansas program, presented in partnership with the Kansas State University Center for Entrepreneurship and the Kansas Masons to provide prize money to YEC event winners and access to the state-wide competition, the Kansas Entrepreneurship Challenge.
